Designed for the desktop, not a browser tab

LyricsOverlay is a native Windows utility for people who want synchronized lyrics visible while they work, watch, practice, or listen. It observes the media session exposed by Windows, matches local or online synchronized lyrics, and draws a transparent overlay without modifying the player.

Flexible appearance

The overlay supports solid, gradient, and album-art-derived text colors; font family, weight, size, opacity, alignment, line spacing, and monitor-aware placement; and a temporary boundary view for precise positioning. Long lines are measured and reduced to fit rather than silently truncated.

Release integrity

The production workflow builds and tests the application, verifies its version, and publishes the executable together with a SHA-256 checksum. This catalogue hosts an immutable, versioned copy of both release assets while the source repository remains private.

Responsible lyrics lookup

Online lookup can be disabled. LRCLIB is a third-party community service, availability is not guaranteed, and users remain responsible for lawful use of lyrics and metadata.
